Line Up Surf Australia was started back in 1990 by Wayne Ryan and although this was Wayne's first personal business in surfing, he was no stranger to the surfing fraternity.

Wayne was a competition surfer from his early teens winning many contests and championships. During this time, he travelled and competed in many countries. As a team rider, he was required to work with his sponsors testing and designing new board designs.

Over time Wayne has become a professional surf coach, and occasionally assists in judging professional contests. He works as a photographer and journalist for several surf magazines in Australia and his love for travel allows him to visit and compete in many countries. To promote the sport of surfing, he works with several governments discovering surf spots for their tourist trade.

All of these experiences provide the depth of knowledge to Line Up Surf Australia.

Line Up Surf Boards

Over the last eight years Line Up surfboards have developed into a quality performance product. Line Up is based at Dee Why Beach on the Northern Beaches of Sydney with a retail show room situated right in front of the legendary Dee Why Point.

During these eight years Line Up has also manufactured and distributed surfboards for Straight Up in Hawaii and Spyder in the USA. Some of the best shapers in the world have worked in the Line Up stable:
